Activity:

 

Students will go into a breakout room and make a shot list for ‘how to brush their teeth’.

ASSIGNMENT #2 - Shot Types -
Google Slide Photograph Presentation


OBJECTIVES:

Students will learn shot types in cinematography.
They will produce a google slides show demonstrating these skills.

 

ASSIGNMENT:

This assignment will be marked out of /8

 

1. Create a Google Slides Presentation in your google drive.

2. Name it “Last Name, First Name, Assignment #2?”

3. Using your cell phone or available device, take 7 shots of yourself and/ or someone else. You can also use character subjects such as action hero toys.

  • Selfies are fine for a few shots, but you are not going to be able to do all of them in this manner. 
     

4. Contents of the Slides should have 8 slides in total:

  • Slide 1: Title page (Name, Date, Assignment Name)

  • Slide 2: An example of an “Extreme Long Shot” along with a description.

  • Slide 3: An example of an “Long Shot” along with a description.

  • Slide 4: An example of an “Medium Long Shot” along with a description.

  • Slide 5: An example of an “Medium Shot” along with a description.

  • Slide 6: An example of an “Medium Close up Shot” along with a description.

  • Slide 7: An example of an “Close up Shot” along with a description.

  • Slide 8: An example of an “Extreme Close up Shot” along with a description.
     

  • Descriptions:
    1. What defines this shot?
    Example: Long shot: Head to feet are showing in the frame.

    2. What is in this shot?
    Example: In this shot I am using the action figure Captain America from the Marvel series. 

     

  • NOTE: ALWAYS FILM IN LANDSCAPE!
    This is the proper way to film for film and television.
